Hair style suggestions?

I'm Asian, with straight hair that's down to my waist right now. I like to be able to tie my hair up, but it doesn't matter too much. Other than an emo cut (which is what people typically suggest for Asians, haha), what others would suit me well?

try getting it cut it maybe shoulder length and get a sidesweep (bangs on the side) DO IT

I think that big Shirley Timple curls would look great with long hair. I would take a while to do though

I'm Native American, same hair type, and I had mine that long as well until donating it. Generally, because of our hair type, spiked dos and emo cuts are really the best for it. I currently have short hair that I put into porcuspikes (I'm a gal, but you wouldn't believe the complements I get on it!) There's a reason people are suggesting those---they work. Curls, perms, etc. not only look ridiculous, they don't stay long.
