Tips on how to get silky smooth hair?

Unlike other Asian girls blessed with great hair, mine is dry, frizzy and dull. (I have thick hair by the way) I tried a lot of products and none of them seem to work. Any tips/suggestions, please?

Tips on how to get silky smooth hair?

As far as products go, Sabino Moisture block is EXCELLENT!!! (Look at any customer review, they'll tell you the same.) This stuff is a serum you work into your hair after you shampoo, and you can use it to keep curls from frizzing, straighten with a blow drier or flat iron, etc....

....But here's the thing that separates this from all the other products! It is NOT WATER SOLUBLE!!! You could go out in fog, rain showers, 100% humidity, even swimming (bonus-protects against chlorine damage) and your hair will NOT FRIZZ. I swear to god. My city is like an oven in summer from the humidity, and i've gotten caught in a few storms, and my hair never poofs at all. Ever! And this is the only thing I put into my super, super curly and frizz prone hair!

Also, it has no alchohol. And your hair always looks smooth, supple and shiny because it locks moisture into your hair. With that extra moisture, you can use a nice ceramic flat iron ( I use the FHI Platform--it's cheaper than the CHI and works much, much better ) and touch up your hair EVERY DAY with VIRTUALLY NO DAMAGE! (and if anyone's hair would be damaged by that, it's mine...i've bleached it to within an inch of it's life)

I've spent a fortune on other products to help with my frizzy hair, to straighten it, and this does cost about $20 but a little goes a looong way. I use it three times a week on my shoulder length hair and the bottle lasts me 3-4 months.

Bottom line, try it. You definately won't be dissapopinted.

Ceramic hair straightners work like a charm on everybody.. plus some product like the serum from john freida. yes, it WILL fry up your hair on the long run but that's the price u gotta pay

Tips on how to get silky smooth hair?

I said this on another question...

Try dove shampoo and conditioner, it works wonders.

Tips on how to get silky smooth hair?

I believe that curly hair just wants to fall in the direction it is growing, so I add conditioning products and wear my hair curly- it looks natural and healthy.

However, big hot rollers help and the results are great leaving your hair wavy and soft with no frizz.

Plus, hot rollers aren't as damaging as the hair dryer or harsh straightening solutions. (use a small amount ot setting solution, too much will weigh it down and feel sticky)

Tips on how to get silky smooth hair?

Do this once a week:

mix 1 cup coconut oit, half cup castor oil, and then take one full table spoon of melted butter(without salt) and mix it well. then massage with this oil mixture into your hair and leave it for over night . then wash your hair with any good brand of shampoo like Dove , Finesse etc. dont forget to use a good conditioner ,after shampoo.

Also protect your hair from sunlight and dust. keep them cover with scarf.

DO THIS ONCE A MONTH:

take a cup mayonnaise and apply it all over your hair and leave them for one hour. take a towel and dip it into hot water. squeeze it and cover your hair with it.leave it for half and hour more. then wash your hair.

your hair will be sooooooooo smoooooth.

good luck !!!!!!!

Buzz it around the side, but keep it a little longer up top, like the Cultural Revolution Red Guards. Screams "Asian nostalgia."

What can I do to my hair?

One word: gel.

Will my hair turn green?

I'm thinking of getting my tips done blue but with my black asian hair I would have to bleech it first. Someone told me you can't get white dye so i'll have to bleach it blonde first before i can add the blue, but when i add the blue will it turn green?

Will my hair turn green?

nope

Will my hair turn green?

nope

Will my hair turn green?

If the bleach is left on long enough, it will make your tips white. If you don't leave it on long enough, it'll come out kind of orange, not good. Putting the blue dye on the orange will not have the best color effect. Blue on the white will be okay. As the blue fades, it will turn some not-as-cute shades of purpley, periwinkle, and sometimes even greenish. But, if you make sure to use shampoo for color treated hair, and re-apply the blue when it starts to fade you should be okay

Will my hair turn green?

it depends on the blue. Is it a light blue? dark blue? do you want just an average blue, or u dont really care? id choose a dark blue because if it does change color it is less likely to change dramatically.

Will my hair turn green?

why would it turn green? if your stylist knows what they're doing, they won't mess up and it'll turn out good.

Hair pulling?

Why do Asian women pull out the hair from under their arms while company is over?

Hair pulling?

My sister-in-law does that teachclip!!! and she just so happens to be Asian.

It's a condition called Trichotillomania where the person will pull out their body hair(head, underarm, pubic, skin, eyebrow, eye lashes) these people often suffer from anxiety, stress or shear bordem.

Hair pulling?

HaHa, thats a new one! I need to get me some Asian women friends!

Hair pulling?

ew

wtf

i don't know

Hair pulling?

wow... how did you come up with such a fascinating racist question?

Hair pulling?

connect the dots...la la la la

Hair pulling?

I've never known a asian woman to do that when I'm around, maybe that woman just doesn't care who's there

Hair pulling?

Well in China that is a sign of fondness. They aren't really pulling there armpit hair they just look like it while they are showing you their chest, so that they can do this without being noticed by their parents....

Hair pulling?

um, i have never ever seen or heard of this... sorry i can't be more helpful...

Hair pulling?

I've never seen that. Are you sure you don't mean Caucasian?

Hair pulling?

Hmm Not a question i think i could seriously answer without offending someone so all i will say is EWWWW! and WHY WOULD THEY?? and I HOPE IT IS LIMITED TO ASIAN WOMEN :P

Hair pulling?

it's not only Asian women who pulls their hair under their armpits, a lot of other culture even Americans practice this too, they just don't admit it. But they say, when the hair is pulled instead of shaving it, it grows slower and the hair doesn't get thicker, it grows thinner and sometimes some areas, it doesn't grow back, because you get to pull out the roots as well not just the hair. The root is the white thing that is at the tip on the hair when its pulled out. Same thing like waxing but you pluck it by strand, unlike in waxing its all at the same time. The armpits are far more sensitive and the skin is a lot thinner than our legs. We can protect the dermis by plucking it than shaving, thats why when one shaves, it sometimes stings, because you have scratched the thin outer layer of the skin which can also cause the darkening of armpits, dilated pores , thicker hair..plus deodorants contribute to the darkening process as well. The best is PLUCK it, it's far more safer---use a non alcohol base deodorant or an organic one, there are lot of them widely available in the market...one is the Waitrose product from UK.

Hair problems!?

I'm half asian and half black, so my hair is curly and frizzy. I have no idea what to do with it, most oils dry fairly quickly and the hair usually goes back to the "frizzy-state" after a couple hours. Anyone have any product ideas?

Thanks.

Hair problems!?

yes i know your problem im asian full asian but i have straight hair. if i was you if you want straight hair get hair straighteners or use shampoo and conditioner

Hair problems!?

FLAT IRON YOUR HAIR! your hair is soft and when you flat iron it it wil be smooth and it will look like u have a perm in your hair!

-IF YOU DON'T HAVE A FLAT IRON YOU CAN HOT COMB IT!!

Hair problems!?

relax your hair it may sound girly but itz not my cuz had the same kinda prob he relaxed his hair now itz straight and knot free if it looks to long just cut it! go to a black Caribbean hairdresser and ask how much it is to relax hair itz only like 鎷?0 each month xx

Hair problems!?

Try Paul Mitchell. They have a fairly good line of Hair care products. My sister has very curly and frizzy hair, and she uses the frizz serum, which works wonders on her hair, taming it down. Also, use a wide-tooth comb to get through your hair when it's wet. Anything else I can think of, I'll tell you.

Hair problems!?

Try going to your local store and buy some anti-frizz products (shampoo, cream, leave-in-conditioner, etc.)

Maybe a straightening iron would work, too.

To those with streaked hair: post your pictures!?

my hair is black (i'm asian).. and I'm thinking about putting one or two large streaks(or chunks) of color in my hair.. my thoughts either: vivid blue, vivid green, pink or red, but if i see a really nice color i'll consider otherwise =)

So if you have any pictures of your hair with a couple of streaks or just streaks, please post them up! Any color is fine~!

btw, my hair is alawys up in a pony tail, so would the 1 or 2 streaks look funny...? or should i dye the bottom of my hair (common so i want to stay away from this). could someone post up a picture of their hair down and another with a ponytail? it would be really helpful, thanks.

and i'm not asking about what dye to use, i just need pictures =)

To those with streaked hair: post your pictures!?

i don't have any pictures, but i saw an Asian girl walk out of the salon before with red streaks in her black hair. it looked awesome!

To those with streaked hair: post your pictures!?

sorry im a girl with the wrong hair color but my cousin had blue but it looks totally awesome and you can tell in the light mostly so yeah... I SAy BLUE

What can i do with long hair?

Am south asian and my hair is pretty long i can't do much with it so i just put it back in a braid i was wondering what else i can do with my hair that will suit my age. (Am going to grade 8)

What can i do with long hair?

I put mine in a messy bun. You pin your bangs back to how you like them. Then you loosly twirl your hair and pin it up with bobby pins. It gives it a lot more body then a tight bun would.

What can i do with long hair?

try curling it.

or you could put it in a bun

or french braid it.

What can i do with long hair?

french braid

ponytail

2 braids at the side

pig tails

or get a new haircut

What can i do with long hair?

cut it, leave it down, ponytail, half up half down. whatever you'd like.

try new things.

What can i do with long hair?

A perfect bun; high in a ponytail; low ponytail; upswept in a hair clip.

What can i do with long hair?

have you tried bangs or layers? My hair used to be pretty long (before I cut it)... but then i just had side bangs and then put it up in a bun or cliped half back.... also you can put it in braids overnight and then take them out in the morning and it will be crimpy/wavy (as long as your hair doesn't poof...)

What can i do with long hair?

u could try braiding it into little pigtails or scrunching it to get it curly

What can i do with long hair?

Put the top part of your hair in a pony tail and leave the underside down. Or get some cute combs and do the sides up (like these: http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/im... )

What can i do with long hair?

braids always look attractive and they can be worn hundreds of different ways.

also half ponies look great

another thing i like to do it scrunch if your hair is natural curly

but if its straight

use a volumiziung hampoo and conditioner

then use a curling potion/ 24/7 creme

also take a big curling iron and make big waves

hope its helpful

What can i do with long hair?

you could put it half up, two braids on the side, or a messy bun

also since you are asian it would look so cute if you put in sticks (get ones with a funky design)

What can i do with long hair?

Cut it.

What can i do with long hair?

get a layered haircut, that helps to style it more.

What can i do with long hair?

Give it to locks of love it helps make wigs for children who lost hair due to cancer!
