Hair pulling?

Why do Asian women pull out the hair from under their arms while company is over?

Hair pulling?

My sister-in-law does that teachclip!!! and she just so happens to be Asian.

It's a condition called Trichotillomania where the person will pull out their body hair(head, underarm, pubic, skin, eyebrow, eye lashes) these people often suffer from anxiety, stress or shear bordem.

Hair pulling?

HaHa, thats a new one! I need to get me some Asian women friends!

Hair pulling?

Hair pulling?

I've never known a asian woman to do that when I'm around, maybe that woman just doesn't care who's there

Hair pulling?

Well in China that is a sign of fondness. They aren't really pulling there armpit hair they just look like it while they are showing you their chest, so that they can do this without being noticed by their parents....

Hair pulling?

um, i have never ever seen or heard of this... sorry i can't be more helpful...

Hair pulling?

I've never seen that. Are you sure you don't mean Caucasian?

Hair pulling?

Hmm Not a question i think i could seriously answer without offending someone so all i will say is EWWWW! and WHY WOULD THEY?? and I HOPE IT IS LIMITED TO ASIAN WOMEN :P

Hair pulling?

it's not only Asian women who pulls their hair under their armpits, a lot of other culture even Americans practice this too, they just don't admit it. But they say, when the hair is pulled instead of shaving it, it grows slower and the hair doesn't get thicker, it grows thinner and sometimes some areas, it doesn't grow back, because you get to pull out the roots as well not just the hair. The root is the white thing that is at the tip on the hair when its pulled out. Same thing like waxing but you pluck it by strand, unlike in waxing its all at the same time. The armpits are far more sensitive and the skin is a lot thinner than our legs. We can protect the dermis by plucking it than shaving, thats why when one shaves, it sometimes stings, because you have scratched the thin outer layer of the skin which can also cause the darkening of armpits, dilated pores , thicker hair..plus deodorants contribute to the darkening process as well. The best is PLUCK it, it's far more safer---use a non alcohol base deodorant or an organic one, there are lot of them widely available in the market...one is the Waitrose product from UK.
