Dealing with thick hair when wanting and Asian hair style.?

Everytime I try to style my hair with gel, it just ends up



becoming hard and ends up drying up like a few hours later. Here's how i want it.

i have it cut at the right lenths and everything.



i just need that look.



that texture and dryness without having it to be clumped up and everything.



I want that dry look's like this right when i get outside the house.



I also want it to stay like that the whole day.



anyone have tips to make my hair more dry %26amp; textured like that picture?



ps. i have very thick hair and that is not so course but not so fine.



btw, sorry if i can't describe it. just please help me out.



do i need to use a blowdryer, hairspray, etc...

thick hair is fine. asian hair is thick too.



you're going to need hair gel...

like on your head.



ps. i hate the hair it looks so..... cheap and ugly

Okay maybe why your hair get hard is because you using the wrong type of gel. use one thats not so strong and stiff. or ask a stylist indtead of us they know more.

I dont know what kind of hair u have but im assuming its straight. Just apply some wax instead of gel. Gel is very annoying cuz it makes hair so stiff and shiny looking. Wax is more subtle and should let u keep ur hairstyle all day. Also, if u want it to be textured the same way, might wanna try to style ur hair in clumps, instead of letting them stick out in individual strands.
