Because white girls are too lazy to actually "do" their hair. It is much easier to brush it all back, clip it, then throw it up in a messy ponytail. Darn those Asians, they put more effort into everything, always making us white girls look bad. : )

It seems that most american women are a little on the heavy side so they are hot and I don't mean hot in looks. So they tie their hair back to cool down.

Because "white girls" are overly open about their appearances..."asian girls" are more mysterious. "White girls" like to, in my opinion, show off ALL thier attributes. They're not shy at all...as far as I've observed.

I think it just depends on the person. Personally I know Asian people who do that, and I know White people who do that as well. I have a friend who is very self conscious of her eyelids (she is Asian) so she wears bangs to kind of cover up her face. I have no idea why she does that personally as I think her eyes are just beautiful. It all just depends on what hairstyle they want to wear. I think there is really no actual reason for this. I wanted to add that my sister in law who happens to also be Asian wears her hair all back and her forehead is shown. She does not wear bangs because they do not suit her face shape.

White girls (especially blondes) tend to have thinner, finer hair which means it gets greasy more easily. So to avoid the nasty greeeezy effect, we pull it back.
